Spring Blooms

I thought that I would share these gorgeous spring blooms with you. My mom surprised me today with these branches from the Bradford Pear tree in our front yard in one of my antique pitchers and I just love it! All of the streets in our neighborhood are lined with these trees and it is such a stunning site to see! We have had 2 sunny days in a row (imagine that!) with temps in the high 60's so spring is just exploding here.
I am so glad that my mom did this for me so I thought I would share it with you so that you may be inspired to do the same thing so you can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors inside.
I recently finished this arrangement for our front door and I am thrilled with the way it turned out! I used a large antique wall urn that I found at a flea market. I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I found it, but it was so large and unusual that I had to buy it!! It turned out to be the perfect piece for an arrangement for our front door and I like that it is not your typical basket or wreath. Here in Kentucky, Forsythia blooms are the first sign of spring. I made the silk arrangement above for a client and they placed in their very large and grand entry on an elegant round table. Normally I do not make a whole lot of silk arrangements, but I have really enjoyed doing them lately.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and the pictures. I would love to hear about the different ways you bring the outdoors in and how you like to decorate your front door.

Ciao!
Sanya

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful photographs. Spring is late here in Utah this year. I don't think it will ever get here. Yesterday it was snowing of all things! Brrr! Have a lovely day!

Sanya, I just found your blog. Love your arrangements! Here in Central WA the first sign of spring is forsythia, too. Your front door is my all-time favorite color!

I love your floral arrangement you did for your door, Sanya. It is beautiful! I have a couple of questions.....did you use silk flowers and, if so, would you please tell me where you found such pretty flowers?? Also, I love the paint color of your door. What is the brand and color you used? I would love to paint our front door that color. It looks so fresh and springy (I'm not sure that that is a word :) but the color reminds me of spring!) By the way, I love your new website and blog! Becky

Hello Ladies,
I want to thank you for your thoughtful comments! I am glad that you enjoyed this blog entry. The color of my door is "Surfside". It is by Valspar & I bought it at Lowes. Last summer we traveld to Hilton Head Island for vacation and we took a day trip to Charleston and I just fell in LOVE with all of the colorful doors and shutters on their homes, so I when we got home, I immediately painted ours!
The silk flowers in the front door all came from Michale's. I always buy when they have a sale and use my coupons.
I hope that this information helps & thank you again!
